Safeguarding

We take safeguarding very seriously at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Primary School . Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Los supports with Early help referrals.

Mrs Los is the named person for looked after children (LAC) 

Mr Devlin, Mrs Los and  Miss Earley are safeguarding deputies in the school. Wesley McGlinchey and Sharon DeMatteis are the named governor for Safeguarding. Signs and Symptoms of Potential Abuse

We expect all members of our school community to remain vigilant to the signs and symptoms of potential abuse and report any concerns to our Designated Safeguarding Leads.  There are 4 main categories of abuse to be aware of;

  • Physical Abuse
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Emotional Abuse
  • Neglect

  • The Prevent Duty (Radicalisation & Extremism) 
  • Sexual violence and sexual harassment 
  • Child on child abuse
  • Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
  • Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
